A week of social events…

…more than I was initially expecting.

  • Physio was good again, although I didn’t manage 10 reps for my barbell bench press (just 9 for 2 sets). Did well with deadlifts and balancing exercises (although I hated the latter to begin with).
  • Nine practice golf holes to start the week were excellent as was the company.
  • Sub-standard practice chipping and pitching for a short afternoon session. Just not concentrating on the right things.
  • Played pretty well in the mid-week charity event with my friend, but then had a dreadful individual round at the end of the week. Some good shots, but a lot of things went wrong! I got out of bunkers well!!
  • Tidied leaves this week and did some watering, but that was the extent of my gardening.
  • Tidied the small office drawer set. Was due to do more, but didn’t make time (and not really using the “Fix One Thing” process effectively at all).
  • Booked two weeks at a campsite in Cape Range National Park (a very stressful process, given the competition for spaces).
  • Visited Curtin for the first time in ages to look at art (30x30 fundraising exhibition) and catch up with people.
  • Went for dinner at Moon & Mary (delicious) before attending the Attenborough Ocean event mentioned above.
  • Inspired by Ocean event sent an email asking the WA government to protect Scott Reef.
  • Also contacted Main Roads again about cars travelling east-west where it should just be buses at a local road intersection. There’s no camera and no consequences at the moment. It makes the life of bus drivers and passengers difficult, in particular when the roads are busy.
  • Bird of the week: continues to be the noisy raven who won’t stop shouting about how our tree is their tree.
