Weeknotes 20 - 26 April 2026

Exciting times make me tired…

…return from Tasmania, physio, pick up new car (the exciting bit), golf, cards.

Cover image: mosses and lichens around Lake St Clair (from last week in Tasmania but in keeping with the wet weather the weekend after we returned home).

  • Physio was pretty good considering only exercise was walking and golf while away (with one home weights session before leaving).
  • Picking up the new car was pretty stressful to begin with, but after a few chances to drive around it feels a lot better (fun, actually).
  • Competition golf this week was ok Wednesday and excellent Friday.
  • No golf practice because I was exhausted Thursday and rested.
  • Long weekend was also a time of rest and recuperation.
  • Spent some time setting up car-related technologies and planning a few purchases: to protect the boot and seatbacks from my golf clubs, and to hold stuff in the rear footwell (because the only issue is a lack of storage space, so a box/basket to hold things could be really useful).
  • Planning to get started on tidying in the near future with the help of David Cain’s free Fix One Thing short course (linked from here and inspired by this).
  • Bird of the week: unidentified and sitting on the aerial next door (too dull a day to see it clearly even with the monocular, but it wasn’t something I see regularly).
