A couple of away games of golf…

…a nice change, but quite challenging and at times frustrating.

  • Cover image: A view down the fairway to one of the very pretty holes at Lake Karrinyup.
  • Played golf at Lake Karrinyup and Mount Lawley, with a professional event at my home club. A great opportunity to play some very good courses without a big green fee!
  • Golf practice was also off the menu, but I warmed up well before both rounds this week and took time to write up some ideas about golf and plans for practice here.
  • While I didn’t play that well (score-wise), I made some good swings and kept the putting on track (with a wobble in the middle of the Mount Lawley round).
  • Enjoyed the views and wildlife (lake pictured below, multitude of kangeroos not visible, but they were everywhere).

  • Struggled to motivate myself to cook things, although I did make a nice cous cous salad (that needed chopped parsley and coriander to make it even tastier).
  • Watered some plants but there’s more to do!
  • Working out how the idea of the metabolic workspace applies to life outside work.
  • Kept moving the “2026 Tiny experiment plans” bullet through my journal without actioning!
  • Number plate of the week: DOOOM.
  • Bird of the week: magpie in flight over my head at Mount Lawley (friendly, not attacking).
