Weeknotes 1 - 7 December 2025

First of the newstyle weeknotes…

…inspired by my love of reading weeknotes on The weblog of Alice Bartlett, which make me feel good about sharing bits and pieces of life without worrying that I need to entertain a reader other than me. (Note: I find Alice’s writing to be very entertaining.)

  • Cover image: the view from my meditation chair when I realised how lovely it is in my room (now it’s not my home office).
  • Don’t zoom in to see the dead leaves (the watering struggle continues).
  • Birds! Aren’t they great?! Songs from the garden have distracted me daily this week.
  • Had an epic on-course golf lesson.
  • Golf is much more fun when you decide to strike the ball with confidence rather than fear (although the result may be a challenge).
  • Can I change the way I handwrite the letter g at the ends of words? Probably not, but I might try.
  • Those pristine pairs of tights I kept with no idea when I’d ever wear them? They’re holding up a frangipani now.
  • We don’t do Christmas, but we end up buying a lot of things at this time of year.
  • Focused on golf atm, but working up to wingsupping again.

These weeknotes now operate alongside a bullet journal as a way to pick out the feels of the week.
